The trailer for Kenneth Branagh's As You Like It has been released (at last)!

I'm really interested to see this, especially since my college theatre just got finished doing an Asian-inspired (and all-female, incidentally) Hamlet. Interestingly, it seems as though they're combining the events before the play with the events of the first Act. Which ( Read more... )

This video claims to be Pride and Prejudice, but I'm totally lost as to plot and casting. Why is Mr. Darcy in regimentals, and why is he stalking everyone? Amusing, nonetheless.

Just a note - ITV's website has been significantly updated - tons of adaptation yumminess. Well, yumminess is for you to decide; food for thought at least . . .

Somehow I've missed posting this. Be sure to watch the trailer. I'm curious to know what people think of the mood they seem to be going with. Of course we all remember the Jane Eyre trailers . . . the fury . . .

I love any time I can use this userpic. :P Preview for ITV's upcoming season, including Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey, and Persuasion. The only bits of this video worth watching are 0:10-0:40 and 1:50-end.

Classes started up again today, so things should be busy in the next few weeks. I don't even have much time to post tonight, since I have an 8:30 class tomorrow morning. I did rent a camera today, though, and was even able to snap a few shots of the Christmas tree before it came down, so keep an eye on my Flickr account for those.

Pictures from the filming of Persuasion 2007! In Bath, of course. (Sigh - to be in Bath!) I don't know much about this production, or the other Austen adaptations scheduled for '07 - S&S, Northanger Abbey (ya!), and Mansfield Park. My first reaction to the photo below (Anne and Wentworth, btw): Egad, they're so young!
